- Medical Records Technician
Description
The Medical Records Technician will ensure that medical records are kept in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as the Home's policies and procedures. The chosen candidate will maintain complete and accurate medical records for each resident in the facility by keeping records appropriately updated; monitoring and auditing records per facility protocol; and perform some clerical duties on nursing units as assigned.
Successful candidates must possess certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and have a minimum of 1 year experience in maintaining medical records. Strong organizational skills, knowledge of electronic medical records and an understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance are a must.

Requirements
